Tier1Net & RepliWeb Team to Deliver Business Continuity Services

WAKEFIELD, MA - (May, 15 2003) - Decoupling enterprise class service and exorbitant prices is what Tier1Net is staking claim to with their newly released disaster recovery “DR Server” product. Tier1Net is combining best-of -breed technology, in a partnership with Repliweb, Inc., with first class service to reduce down time of a failed critical server.

DR Server is a replicated server stored in a secure telco-hardened facility that provides Tier1Net’s customers the ability to redirect traffic in the event of a server failure. Our customers tend to be very diligent in performing their tape backups, however the problem for many customers is the actual downtime incurred when a server failed. For many of Tier1Net’s customers the idea of being down for hours and maybe days was unacceptable – hence, the concept for Tier1Net’s DR Server.
