Help Desk Engineer

Fast growing established Managed Service provider seeking bright, curious and highly motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Help Desk Engineers.

Successful candidates must enjoy working closely with others and providing excellent customer service. Technical aptitude and interest is important, as are organizational and communication skills. Interest in Cybersecurity is a plus. Candidates must be local!

Day to day responsibilities include phone and help desk support to resolve network and desktop issues effecting clients, as well as working closely with Tier1Net management, consultants and staff providing day to day operational support. This is a true team environment.

This is a full-time position which offers unlimited potential for growth as an IT consultant, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate the desire to advance their career in that direction. We are a company with a proven track record of rewarding hard work!

EXPERIENCE IN THE BELOW A PLUS, BUT WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON:

  • Experience with Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008-2016, Active Directory and Exchange 2010-2016
  • Hardware and application troubleshooting skills
  • General understanding of the following network protocols – TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
  • General understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage

Candidate should have an Associate’s degree or greater and reliable mode of transportation, as some local travel may be required.

Hours are M – F 8:30 am – 5:30 pm in Tier1Net’s Woburn office. This is not a remote position. In addition, the position includes participation in a rotating after hours on call schedule. Rotation begins approximately 6 months after start date.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
